The KYC Program Risk team partners with FCRM and KYC Pillar leadership to ensure the KYC Pillar adheres to TDBG policies and standards designed to meet its commitments with respect to RCM, Operational Risk and Financial Crime Risk Management.
Responsibilities
- Provides central oversight and governance of the KYC Program in Canada, including running the KYC Program Sub-Committee.
- Partners with the three lines of defense to compile and deliver comprehensive reports on program performance and compliance based on key indicators (KIs) measuring the overall health of the KYC program, delivering regular, detailed reports to stakeholders.
- Liaises with central FCRM policy team on the development and implementation of the AML Policy and KYC/EDD Standards in collaboration with business lines/oversight in Canada.
- Monitors the implementation of and adherence with KYC/EDD Standards across the 1st and 2nd lines of defense.
- Maintains KYC and EDD Standards in alignment with global, U.S. and organizational AML frameworks and global risk appetite and policies, ensuring full compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Supports the development and implementation of training, procedures,
and guidance materials around the KYC/EDD Standards supporting 1st and 2nd Line partners with interpretation of KYC requirements and reviewing Standard exception requests.
- Monitors the implementation of and adherence with KYC/EDD Standards across the 1st and 2nd lines of defense.
- Acts as the principal point of contact within the KYC pillar for risk assessment processes and support the oversight and assessment of KYC risks and controls, facilitate quality assurance processes and provide credible challenge.
- Acts as the principal point of contact for KYC related audits/regulatory exams and provide issue remediation oversight.
- Collaborates with internal audit and central FCRM testing teams to ensure KYC/EDD Standards meet internal and external review standards.
Job Requirements
- Strong risk, controls, and governance knowledge and experience; particularly in understanding how to embed and oversee risk and compliance frameworks ideally as it relates to Financial Crime Risk Management.
- Effective communication, presentation and facilitation skills and strong interpersonal and leadership skills to facilitate working and influencing senior management.
- Robust organizational skills with the ability to work in a agile environment and manage deadlines and priorities.
- Excellent analytical skills in assessing risk, issues and challenging the status quo.
- Comfortable navigating a space that is not well defined, ambiguous, and complex at times.
Qualifications / Skills
- 7+ years of RCM, Operational Risk or Financial Crime experience in a 1st, 2nd or 3rd line capacity.
- Undergraduate degree.
