Job Description
LandSea provides accommodation and catering solutions for workforces in remote locations throughout BC. We create good places for people to live anywhere. Our camps are in remote areas and staff live on‑site with meals and accommodation included for scheduled shifts. A typical shift schedule is 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off, with workdays between 10‑12 hours. The Camp Manager / Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring the overall organization, housekeeping and efficient operation of LandSea large camp facilities.

Responsibilities
Technical / Operational
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all paperwork and submit to Operations Dept. as required.
- Daily submit Camp Manager reports (P&L;, commissary, purchasing/receiving, inventory, kitchen, and staff counts).
- Maintain accurate employee paperwork including change forms, incident reports, performance & evaluation forms, WCB injury reporting, and timesheets.
- Oversee cleaning of accommodation units and equipment per LandSea schedule and Food Safe standards.
- Facilitate safety meetings using the Daily Toolbox Meeting form on the 1st and 15th of each month; forward minutes to LandSea Head Office.
- Ensure food items are stored, served,
and discarded per HACCP and Food Protected standards.
- Coach employees and involve the Catering Recruitment team for disciplinary matters as appropriate.
Financial / Fiscal
- Oversee food portioning per client contract and LandSea policies to keep costs within budget.
- Ensure meal sheets are completed neatly; client and Chef signatures required.
- Submit client and third‑party meal sheets weekly with client name, camp number, location, and legal land description.
- Provide timesheets to Head Office each Sunday with staff hours.
- Schedule inventory of kitchen products (weekly & monthly); submit reports to Head Office within 3 days and follow up by phone.
- Inventory meat products to match the menu plan, documenting weight, measurement, size, date, facility name, and location.
General / Management
- Assist in incident investigations and information gathering.
- Facilitate daily meetings with Senior Camp Attendant & Chef to delegate tasks.
- Maintain communication with LandSea customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Oversee all camp operations, including start‑ups, shutdowns, administrative and maintenance duties, budgeting, and client satisfaction.
- Assist in training catering staff in remote camps; provide coaching, mentoring, and support.
Housekeeping
- Provide first‑class customer service.
- Make beds, change linens, comforters, and towels.
- Remove garbage and perform dusting.
- Clean bathrooms daily.
- Manage inbound/outbound room changeover cleans.
- Maintain laundry and linen rooms.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a related field, preferably a large camp catering environment.
- 3 or more years’ experience in a managerial role.
- Knowledge of Camp Manager databases and retail POS systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong decision‑making and delegation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Superior organization and time‑management skills.
- Team player who motivates and supports others.
- Ability to administer and receive constructive feedback from clients and staff.

Physical Requirements
- Stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch for long periods.
- Perform fast repetitive finger, hand or wrist movements.

- Use hands to handle tools and objects.
- Complete up to 12‑hour shifts.
Pre‑Employment Requirements

- Drug and Alcohol Clearance.
- Food Safe Level 1.
- Completed Health Questionnaire.
- Valid Government‑issued ID for travel.
- Two (2) references from former employers.
