Reporting to the Vice President, Enterprise Risk and Business Improvement, the Senior Compliance Specialist is a senior subject matter expert responsible for providing strategic guidance and operational leadership for corporate-level compliance functions, including Enterprise Risk Management and Business Continuity Planning.In this role you will collaborate with senior leaders across Operating Groups and Shared Services to influence compliance-related decision-making, support risk mitigation strategies, and align practices with organizational and regulatory expectations.Working closely with the Enterprise Risk Committee (ERC) on the handling of compliance obligations and efforts, contributing to the development of compliance framework and policies, you will collaborate on risk mitigation strategies with internal stakeholders, and support the identification of enterprise-level risks and help to foster a culture of proactive compliance and shared accountability across the organization.Join our diverse team today in Edmonton or Calgary, AB!ResponsibilitiesGuides enterprise compliance objectives in collaboration with the Enterprise Risk Committee (ERC)Develops and aligns enterprise-wide compliance frameworks with Legal, HR, Finance, and Shared ServicesReports regularly to ERC on compliance status under direction of Risk and Legal leadershipEstablishes and manages compliance escalation pathways and support modelDrives alignment of risk and compliance practices across Operating Groups while respecting business needsLeads enterprise compliance strategy,
influencing risk mitigation and aligning with regulatory and business prioritiesOversees Enterprise Risk Management and Business Continuity Planning, including advising, testing, and continuous improvementMonitors regulatory changes, advises leadership on risk impacts, and drives proactive compliance culture and enterprise-wide risk mitigationQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Law, or a related fieldCompletion of CCO qualifying exams and registrations (e.G., PDO, Supervisor), or equivalent8+ years of progressive experience in compliance, risk, internal audit, legal, or related fieldsExperience in large Shared Services or corporate environmentsIndustry experience in construction or similar industrial sectorsCross-border experience in both Canada and the U.S. preferredStrong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.G., anti-bribery, AML, competition/anti-trust law, privacy)Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder influence at senior executive levelsProficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) with strong ethics and ability to build relationshipsWork ConditionsHybrid role, with a combination of work from home and in-office presence 1-2 days per week, or as business needs requireEmployment Equity At Ledcor we believe diversity, equity, and inclusion should be part of everything we do.
