Overview
Join our global leading business offering outstanding personal development & global career opportunities. Permanent, full‑time position based at the Kemano Hydro Power Station, with residency in Kitimat, or Terrace, BC. This is a non‑FIFO role with a Tuesday to Friday on‑site rotation, including weekly commuting from Kitimat and camp accommodation.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to support and advise on complex electrical engineering initiatives at the Kemano Hydroelectric Power Station, one of British Columbia’s most critical power assets, with accountability for supporting safe, reliable operation and long-term asset performance as the facility enters a major rebuild phase of its eight generators. This is a outstanding opportunity for a cooperative and pragmatic engineer to work hands‑on with critical hydroelectric assets and play an influential role in a major rebuild project at a world‑class 975 MW power station.
The role is based at the Kemano camp and follows a Tuesday to Friday work schedule. Kemano is located approximately 80 km from Kitimat, with employee transportation to and from site provided by boat at the start and end of each rotation. Transportation is provided from Kitimat only, and this position is not a fly‑in‑fly‑out arrangement. While we don’t offer fly‑in‑fly‑out arrangements, we do offer domestic relocation assistance to help you settle in and thrive. Kitimat is a welcoming, family‑friendly community with outdoor access and a strong local economy.

- Complex problem‑solving, root‑cause analysis, and field troubleshooting for critical electrical and operational issues
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize power generation performance, asset reliability, and lifecycle outcomes
- Applying expert knowledge of hydroelectric generation standards, codes, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliant and appropriate solutions
- Acting as the primary contact for maintenance teams and capital project contractors and consultants, including scope development, oversight of field execution, quality assurance, and technical advice for the lifecycle of capital projects
About You
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- Registered, or eligible for immediate registration, with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.). Candidates who are not registered but who bring relevant experience may be considered at an appropriate level.

and operational decision‑making in power generation or heavy industrial environments
- Experience in asset condition monitoring and diagnostic techniques for rotating and/or critical equipment
- Strong ability to work collaboratively in small, site‑based teams, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
- Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as SAP, to support maintenance and asset management activities
