You will help fulfill the Village Church Planting (VCP) vision of a church in every African Village by 2050, by effectively empowering VCP church planters and trainers to map the following: villages with churches, villages without churches, and villages with Christ followers, but no churches.

Overview

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Pray faithfully for the fulfillment of the VCP 2050 vision.
- Represent VCP to the Coalition of The Willing and its technical support personnel.
- Understand in depth the front end and much of the back end of the iShare mapping system used by the Coalition of the Willing to map and categorize villages.
- Facilitate use of the iShare mapping system by VCP church planters, trainers and coordinators by publicizing, training, troubleshooting and coaching appropriate VCP staff in the system’s use for surveys, data entry, reporting and ministry decision making.
- Provide quarterly updates of iShare village maps at the country level to Supervisors and national Coordinators.
- Advise VCP leaders concerning mapping needs and opportunities.
- In communication with OMS statistics and iShare, maintain a map showing the location of VCP training centers.
- Encourage church planting in unchurched villages based on the data found on iShare maps.

Skills and Education

- Bachelor’s degree in geography, missions, and/or adult education ideal.




- Has demonstrable skill with spreadsheets and cloud-based data entry.
- Able to easily learn and master the iShare system and Geographical Information System (GIS) mapping.
- Demonstrates ability to work and communicate effectively in cross cultural situations and through the use of translators, both digital and human.
- Very comfortable helping non-digital natives learn to use and master digital tools to fulfill the Outstanding Commission.
- Comfortable working behind the scenes and up front in training and vision casting situations.
