This position requires leadership within the Legal Services Division, focusing on the regulation of health services and compliance with privacy legislation. You will oversee a team of Civil Crown Counsel, ensuring exceptional service delivery to client departments while managing emerging legal and policy issues. Collaborating across various health sectors, your role is integral to fostering effective communication and supporting executive teams within the government.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guide a team of Civil Crown Counsel in service delivery
• Identify and assess emerging legal and policy issues
• Provide senior-level legal services and strategic advice
• Oversee collaboration with outside counsel
• Develop strategic relationships for issue resolution
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Juris Doctor (JD)
• Minimum of 11 years of legal experience required
• Active member of the Law Society of Alberta
• Proven leadership capabilities in legal services
• Eligibility for security screening as required
