Rental and Boatyard Team Leads – Huntsville (2026 Summer Season)

Algonquin Outfitters is seeking Rental and Boatyard Team Leads to join our Huntsville location for the 2026 summer season.

Responsibilities

- Open and close the outdoor boatyard and POS system.
- Serve as Key Holder, starting and ending the day before other staff arrive.
- Assist with rental procedures for our products.
- Manage gear: distribute, receive, clean, and store rental equipment between trips.
- Provide excellent in-person and phone customer service.
- Support retail sales of kayaks and canoes in the outdoor rental and retail boatyard.
- Facilitate transactions through our POS system.
- Promote a fun and inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in an equipment rental or outfitting workplace (ideal but attitude and enthusiasm are also valued).
- Knowledge and love of the outdoors, equipment, and gear with confidence to provide advice and guidance to customers.
- Desire to go above and beyond with a can‑do, enthusiastic, and team‑player attitude.




- Outstanding interpersonal skills with an engaging and approachable personality.
- Experience with POS systems is an asset.

We need someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, can multitask, prioritize, follow through thoroughly on tasks with little supervision, and has a high standard of quality in all that they do. Availability for weekends and some holidays is required.
