Job Purpose:

As a DSD Delivery Driver, you will act as an ambassador for Freeman Herbs by delivering our herbs and vegetables with care and providing exceptional customer service to our clients. You will ensure legal compliance and follow all rules of Ontario law while operating the company vehicle.

Please note – this is a full-time, temporary position until the end of May or early June.

*Approximate start time is 5:00AM

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

- Driving a cube van to complete deliveries throughout Niagara/GTA.
- Hand transfer deliveries by loading/unloading truck at various retail locations.
- Ensure proper paperwork is provided to the customer and obtain necessary signatures.
- Collect proof of delivery (POD's), as required.
- Interact with staff and customers in a positive, respectful, and friendly manner.
- Keep the trucks clean and fueled up after every trip.
- Ensure legal compliance while operating the company vehicle ensuring that proper MTO paperwork is filled out.
- Perform pre and post trip inspections on the company vehicle and report any findings to Senior Logistics Coordinator.
- Take into account possible road construction, traffic congestion, and difficult weather conditions, to ensure that deliveries are made on time.
- Notify Logistics department of any delivery issues, damage to plant material, and vehicle breakdowns.
- Use gas cards loaned to you, properly and within the set guidelines.
- Drivers are expected to drive within posted speed limits (such as reduced speeds within school zones), obey traffic regulations, and ensure that hand held devices are not operated while driving.




- Comply with road safety regulations and laws.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Skills:

- Valid G class license
- Clean drivers abstract
- Self-motivated, reliable, professional individuals
- A high degree of flexibility and patience
- Available to work Monday to Saturday
- Willingness to travel between multiple store locations
- Ability to push, pull and lift up to 30lbs
