Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of programming experience in a manufacturing environment

Robust expertise with MS SQL (queries, stored procedures, database design, performance tuning, backup/recovery)

Experience administering SQL Servers and supporting production-critical applications

Hands-on development experience with C#, .NET, and Visual Basic

Solid understanding of manufacturing systems (MES, WMS, inventory control, automation)

Experience supporting or integrating with ERP systems

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Ability to support production systems in a fast-paced, operational environment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with Solidat MES

PLC and automation exposure (Allen Bradley, Omron, Siemens) and Kepware OPC

Automotive manufacturing experience

Experience with IIS Web Services, Java Script, Power BI, or Power Apps





Exposure to ERP platforms such as SAP, QAD, or Trans4m

Experience supporting label printers, scanners, or shop-floor hardware

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an IT Programmer to join one of our automotive clients. The role will focus on supporting and enhancing core manufacturing systems by designing, developing, and maintaining custom applications and databases that support production, inventory, and shipping operations. This role works closely with operations to ensure system reliability, data integrity, and seamless integration across ERP, MES, and shop-floor systems, while also providing troubleshooting, documentation, and production support as needed.
