Minimum Experience / Skills Required
- 3 years of operations experience
- 3 years of experience with VMI, Kanban, or other inventory system requiring a triggered replenishment within a warehouse infrastructure
- 1-3 years working within an ISO, TS, or equivalent Quality Management System
- Experience with fasteners and fastener quality standards strongly preferred
- Valuable Driving Record with Valid Driver’s License
Supervision
- Working with the Director of Operations and Director of Sales, the Fulfillment Center Manager will have the opportunity to receive feedback from both sides of the business
Scope of Work
- Making the facility operationally sound & a safe work environment for all employees Creating a positive work setting to promote a strong work ethic
- Establishing a sale premised mentality to drive the business from within
- Using existing tools to facilitate a better understanding of the business, its people and maximizing opportunities as they develop.
- Knowledge of Wireless Warehouse Management Systems (WWMS).
- Knowledge of WSIB.
Duties
- Assist with any daily warehouse activities as required- shipping, receiving, packing, cycle counting, etc.
- Be the leader for all warehouse, VMI program, route delivery, quality, quotations, and customer service operations
- Collaborate with Safety, HR and Director on writing of procedures, training, and audits necessary to maintain effective and efficient operations within the boundaries of corporate policy and all quality systems registrations
- Lead continuous improvement projects to ensure annual improvements are achieved.
- Achieve 100% on time shipping of all customer orders, VMI program deliveries & interdepartmental transfers to/from the Aurora hub..
- Collaborate with Irwin QC team to steadfastly maintain the standard of quality by adhering the ISO operational procedures
- Properly staff,
train and oversee WH labor in all facets of distribution operations.
- Implement a robust cycle count program to achieve a 6-month goal of 95% accuracy of in-house inventory with an annual goal of 99% or higher.
- Coordinate workload with Sales department for holidays and changes in customer demand
- Involve HR & Director of Operations in any personnel decisions to reach a consensus on the course of action.
- Develop training program for each position in the WH through communication with other Canadian Branch Managers & Director
- Using proprietary WMS & other tools, track and report KPIs monthly; discuss information with Director of Operations during 1 on 1’s.
- Establish a proper RMA process for all customer returns, working closely with Sales and Quality to properly inspect, receive, issue credit and render product viable to re-sell.
- Aggressively manage the open order report, shipping all available orders each day.
- Manage budget with the input from the Director of Operations to maintain fiscal responsibility while maintaining a high level of service.
- Drive the business to achieve the maximum output for monthly sales, WH KPIs & reducing costs.
- Develop an aggressive sales/growth plan with the Director of Sales and Sales team to increase sales with established clients to drive service & generate new business.
- Collaborate with Director of Operations to develop a preventative maintenance service plan for fleet vehicles and material handling equipment. Ensure branch is equipped with all safety & educational tools using S methodology through walkthroughs, notifications of accidents, near misses and related documentation to be shared with Safety Manager and Director of Operations.

- Salary: $65,000-$75,000 (Depending upon skills and experience)
