Our pipeline spans multiple first‑in‑class programs—backed by a GMP‑compliant, brand new radiopharmaceutical facility in Hamilton, we’re turning groundbreaking science into real‑world impact for patients. Join us at the forefront of radiopharma innovation and be part of turning breakthrough science into meaningful outcomes for patients—come build what’s next with us!
The Role
Join our Discovery team as a Scientist – Radiochemistry, and help advance the next generation of radiopharmaceuticals from our onsite laboratories in Hamilton, Ontario. In this hands-on role, you will design and execute radiolabeling workflows across a variety of targeting modalities—from small molecules to mAbs—and isotopes to enable biological studies and early drug discovery. You will contribute to the preparation, purification, and characterization of novel radioconjugates, support precursor synthesis, and drive data analysis that informs program decision-making. Success in this position calls for strong experimental rigor, meticulous documentation, and proactive collaboration with operations and health physics to maintain safe, efficient lab operations. If you thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment and bring deep curiosity, problem-solving skills, and clear scientific communication,
this is an opportunity to make a measurable impact on programs at the interface of chemistry, biology, and medicine.
Responsibilities
- Effectively execute routine radiolabeling productions for a range of targeting moieties (small molecules to mAbs) and radioisotopes in support of biological studies as a part of the Discovery team
- Contribute to the preparation, purification and characterization of novel radioconjugates including stability assessments
- Assist in the preparation of radiolabeling precursors as required
- Analyze and interpret data
- Maintain clear and current records of work within a laboratory notebook
- Contribute to the organization and maintenance of all chemistry laboratories including waste streams in collaboration with operations and health physics teams
- Effectively communicate scientific findings, which may come in the form of written reports and presentations
Qualifications
- Driven scientist with a recognized post-secondary education in radiochemistry, organic chemistry, organometallic chemistry, drug discovery or a related discipline; prior work with radioconjugates is an asset but not a requirement for this position
- B.S. required, M.S. desired with 2-5 years of relevant laboratory experience
- Excellent troubleshooting skills in the lab, organizational skills and an understanding of the radiopharmaceutical field
- Proven ability to work independently with strong communication skills and attention to detail, including proficiency in the English language
- Demonstrable independent research accomplishments
- Excel at working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to successfully prioritize tasks and manage timelines
- Experience with bioconjugations and/or medicinal synthetic chemistry is desirable
- Experience in the safe handling and analysis of radioconjugates is desirable
- Experience in performing in vitro assays with radioconjugates is desirable
- Experience with analytical HPLC method development and Empower software is desirable
- Knowledge of valuable laboratory practices is an asset
