Position Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for leading restoration projects from start to finish, ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes while providing an exceptional experience for clients. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of emergency and restoration projects, including scoping, estimating, scheduling, and coordinating resources.
- Communicate clearly with clients and adjusters, setting realistic expectations for repair timelines and processes.
- Ensure project estimates, timelines,
and file completion meet corporate and program KPIs.
- Monitor project budgets, prepare accurate costings, and maintain target margins.
- Manage invoicing and accounts receivable.
- Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with contracts.
- Uphold exceptional customer service standards, building trust and long-term client relationships.
- Lead by example in health and safety, ensuring all company policies and procedures are followed.
- Inspect ongoing work to guarantee quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Balance multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Execute company initiatives and maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
- Provide consistent updates and reporting on project status.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations as required.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- 5–7 years of experience in the construction or restoration industry.
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Xactimate, and Xact Analysis.
- IICRC certifications (WRT, FSRT) highly preferred; additional certifications in Odor, Applied Structural Drying, or Applied Microbial Remediation are an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and mentor team members.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical documentation.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, theories, and Alberta Building Code.
- Proven negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Capable of multitasking, meeting deadlines, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, resourceful, and proactive.
- Willingness to travel periodically as required.
- Valid driver’s license.
