Position Overview: Under the direction of the Surveillance Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision, administration and operation of the surveillance department. They ensure there are sufficient surveillance personnel scheduled on shift to enable them to perform their duties effectively. The Surveillance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission (AGLC) terms and conditions, site controls and all departmental policies and procedures that pertain to the operation of the casino. • Maintain valid AGLC license and pass a criminal record check. • Reports to the Surveillance Manager • Supervises Surveillance Operators. • Promote and maintain the utmost integrity and the highest caliber of customer service and respect to all patrons, employees and AGLC personnel • Responsible for Performance Management (coaching and discipline) • Provide assistance to the Surveillance Manager for the day-to-day operations and administration. • Ensure the surveillance staff follow all departmental policies, procedures and are up to date on all procedural change.



• Train and mentor new staff members in the Surveillance Department. • Review report files daily created by the Surveillance department and gather reports from other departments as required. • Complete daily filing and email requested reports. • Ensure accuracy of logs. Review the previous shift log and address any issues or concerns that have been documented. • Assist with scheduling in the Surveillance Department if required • Collaborate and assist Management with requests for information/training/reviews/investigations as needed. • Report to Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC) any discrepancies in accordance with the AGLC Terms and Conditions. • Assist Tsuut’ina Nation Police, Calgary Police Service and RCMP with any requests they may have for information or investigations. • When necessary (for vacations or staff absences), the surveillance Supervisor may have to assume the responsibility of a Surveillance Operator and will monitor the premises using electronic surveillance equipment. • Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of the Surveillance Manager Education and Experience: • High school diploma, College degree or equivalent working experience minimum 2-3 years. • Previous experience in military, law enforcement,



security or surveillance related work preferred • Knowledge of surveillance equipment and cheating are an asset • Knowledge of computers and various computer software (Microsoft word, Excel, Power

Point, AVIGILON etc.) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Proven leadership skills • High level to honor confidential and private information • Knowledge of Grey Eagle Casino policies and procedures along with daily casino operations • Knowledge of AGLC Terms and Conditions • Possess detailed knowledge of casino table games, slots, poker policies, Charity/slot cage, and count room policies and procedures. • Must have excellent attention to detail with ability to gather knowledge of all operating departments, policies and procedures. • Must possess excellent observational and communication skills. • Must be able to detect schemes or cheating activity aimed at the casino or its guests. • Knowledge of and experience with closed circuit television equipment. • Good customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively to verbalize incidents and daily happenings • Strong reading and writing skills for detailed and accurate reporting purposes • Good memory is essential with the ability to respond appropriately and in a timely manner in emergency situations. • Flexibility to work in shifts and overtime is required. • The ability to sit for long periods of time in a small semi-lit environment.
