We are looking for an experienced candidate ASAP to fill the following open role. The ideal candidate will have a background in management as well as an experienced background as a senior formulation chemist.

Senior Manager: R&D;, Quality Assurance

Details of the role are requirements are outlined as follows:

Functional Ownership of the following areas: Manage oversee Research, Development, Quality Assurance and Regulatory with a small team reporting to you.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Formulation & Product Development:

- Research, development, and formulation of Personal Care and Natural Health Products (NHP) compliant with Health Canada's regulations.
- Lead the creation of 'proof-of-concept' samples, demonstrating innovative formulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide pilot/scale-up for production-ready formulas.

manage, train, plan and develop Lab Assistant(s) functions, duties and responsibilities.

Client Communication:

- Engage in client communication, addressing inquiries if necessary.




- Portfolio Management:
- Manage the full life cycle of projects, coordinating research, development, and formulation activities of recent products.
- Provide insights into project sourcing, including ingredient and supplier selection, and cost-effectiveness.
- Assist in pricing strategies aligned with market trends.

Documentation and Regulatory Compliance:

- Generate and maintain and oversee comprehensive formulation documentation, ensuring compliance with Health Canada's Cosmetics and Natural Health Products regulations.
- Evaluate packaging and labeling requirements
- Provide regulatory guidance, continuous improvement support and contribute to the preparation of necessary documentation.

Management of all Technical Functions, Strategy, R&D;, Lab, Scale-Up, matrix support of Production, measurement, reporting, etc.

- Oversee Q/A team reporting directly to you and help with development.
- Manage and oversee quality assurance and stability testing systems. Ensure the team implements and maintains measures to maintain product integrity and compliance to ensure product efficacy and safety.
