Our client is a mid-sized general contractor with a strong reputation built over decades of delivering commercial, industrial, and recreational projects across Western Canada. They are selective about the work they take on, which means every project gets the attention it deserves and every team member has real impact. The Calgary office is growing, and they are looking for an experienced Project Manager to help lead that growth.

This is a strong fit for someone who is ready for more ownership over their work. You will manage projects end-to-end, work closely with a tight-knit team, and have a direct line to senior leadership. There is real long-term growth potential in this role.

Responsibilities:

- Lead full lifecycle delivery of design-build projects across commercial, industrial, and recreational sectors
- Develop and maintain project schedules, monitoring progress against milestones and adjusting plans as needed
- Lead bi-weekly owner and subtrade meetings, keeping stakeholders informed and issues resolved
- Manage the change order, RFI, and submittal processes, ensuring timely responses and proper documentation
- Track project financials, monitor budgets, and flag variances proactively
- Administer subcontracts and supplier agreements, including scope review, execution, and compliance
- Participate in estimating reviews and preconstruction coordination
- Collaborate closely with business development and estimating teams during project transition
- Maintain solid client relationships and proactive communication throughout execution
- Support occasional site visits across Western Canada (including Saskatchewan and Manitoba)

Qualifications:

- 10 years of project management experience in commercial, industrial, or recreational construction
- Strong understanding of design-build and preconstruction processes
- Comfortable managing multiple active projects independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a close-knit, collaborative team
- Self-directed and confident managing time without heavy oversight
- Willingness to travel occasionally for site oversight (short trips)
- Must hold a valid driver’s licence and have access to a personal vehicle

What We Can Offer You:

- Salary range: $120,000 – $140,000 (based on experience)
- Performance-based bonus tied to company performance
- Comprehensive medical and dental benefits
- 3 weeks vacation
- Mileage reimbursement for travel
- All out-of-town expenses covered (lodging, meals, etc.)
- Solid long-term growth potential into senior leadership as the Calgary office expands
