Manager, Financial Systems

Our Client

A leading Canadian telecommunications provider. The organization is focused on enhancing connectivity and building next-generation infrastructure to support long-term growth and innovation.

Reporting to the Director, Accounting, this role is responsible for overseeing, optimizing, and advancing the organization’s accounting and financial systems. Acting as a key liaison between Finance, IT, Supply Chain, and external partners, the position ensures system integrity, scalability, and alignment with business objectives. This role requires a combination of accounting knowledge, systems expertise, and project management skills to support ERP initiatives and ongoing system performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify opportunities to enhance existing financial systems, improving efficiency, controls, and overall financial operations
- Support reporting and tracking initiatives by collaborating with business stakeholders and IT teams; develop and refine reports using SQL
- Assist in the implementation, integration, and optimization of ERP solutions, ensuring alignment with accounting policies and business processes
- Configure, maintain, and support financial system functionalities,



including general ledger and financial reporting
- Design, test, and maintain system integrations, data flows, and interfaces between ERP and other enterprise applications
- Act as a subject matter expert for financial systems, particularly ERP platforms and related integrations
- Perform ad hoc analysis and support various system-related initiatives as required

Qualifications

- 4+ years of experience supporting financial or accounting systems in a corporate workplace
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Information Systems
- Experience with ERP integrations, including data mapping, interface design, and system testing
- Familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP or Workday (preferred)
- Strong skills in system configuration, reporting, and troubleshooting within ERP environments
- Proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel for data extraction, validation, and reconciliation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to translate business needs into system solutions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
