The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Manager, Operations planning to support the operations process across the organization. This role plays a critical part in aligning demand and supply planning to ensure optimal inventory levels, productive production scheduling, and overall operational effectiveness. The ideal candidate brings strong forecasting experience within a manufacturing environment and thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with production teams to manage production capacity in advance and ensure smooth supply of production orders and schedules.
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly S&OP; processes to establish production rates and schedules aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor and analyze demand and supply forecasts, identifying potential gaps and working cross-functionally to resolve issues.
- Plan for and proactively address challenges such as new product launches, promotions, shifts in customer demand, and unforeseen disruptions.
- Develop routine and ad hoc reports to support demand planning and inform decision making.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and support cost optimization initiatives.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of data inputs used in demand planning processes.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement within the S&OP; process.
- Collaborate closely with cross functional teams including operations, supply chain, finance, and sales.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in forecasting or demand planning within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience translating sales, customer success, R&D; discussions into the planning process.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong experience working with MRP and inventory management systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Highly analytical with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach.
