Sr Project Manager to lead DGIS (COTS) Replacement project with vendor and Cybersecurity monitoring enhancements in a hybrid utilities environment Qualifications
- 10+ years' experience as a Project Manager delivering large-scale IT and operational enhancement projects, integrating technology solutions with business operations.
- Manage delivery across a complex matrix organization, coordinating business, technology, data, integration, and change teams without direct reporting authority.
- Experience within a data intensive, integrated enterprise workplace, understanding data flows, system dependencies, and platform limitations.
- Expertise in creating detailed project plans, budgets, and resource forecasts.
- Strong skills in planning, scheduling, and managing resources to ensure timely completion of the project.
- Significant experience working closely with organizational change management (OCM) teams to ensure seamless adoption of system and process changes.
- Experience with both water fall and agile project delivery methodologies.
- Ability to manage third party vendors and their deliverables, including contracts and statements of work (SOWs).
- Strong proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Power BI, and advanced Excel.
Nice to Have
- Experience managing projects in the utilities space, ideally within Distribution Gas Information System (DGIS).
Responsibilities
- Adhere to and execute within governance frameworks, compliance standards, and project methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile).
- Manage full project lifecycle, ensuring alignment of technology with business objectives and operational needs.
- Skilled in managing RFPs & procurement, product and vendor selection, contracts, and statements of work.
- Collaborate with technical teams, OCM, and business stakeholders to execute project deliverables effectively.
- Strategically collaborate with the OCM lead to design and execute change management strategies, ensuring successful adoption of process and system changes.
- Maintain strong credibility with executives, steering committees, and frontline teams to align project goals and outcomes.
- Confidently present project updates, risks, and milestones to executive stakeholders, translating technical information into actionable business insights.
- Balance technical implementation with operational business processes to deliver measurable business value.
- Governance and reporting: adhere to governance frameworks and provide regular updates on progress, risks, and variance to leadership teams.
- Proactively identify, mitigate, and resolve risks and challenges.
- Track 3rd party vendor SOWs and work authorization, tracking progress against milestones.
