Position Overview:

The Onsite Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation of assigned property spaces, including interior common areas, exterior grounds, and shared amenities. Working independently, this position follows established cleaning schedules and responds promptly to urgent cleaning needs or special requests from the property management team. This is a newly created position and an excellent opportunity for a motivated and driven individual who is organized and detail-oriented. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while contributing to the efficiency and smooth operation of our team. The role includes working at multiple properties within Barrie, ON.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of common areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and stairwells.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and clean glass surfaces to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles, and ensure proper disposal of waste.
- Restock consumables such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap, while keeping cleaning supplies organized.
- Maintain outdoor areas, including walkways, entrances, parking lots, and outdoor furniture; assist with seasonal tasks like snow removal and de-icing.
- Support special cleaning projects such as deep cleaning carpets, polishing floors, washing windows, and event setup/cleanup.
- Respond promptly to urgent cleaning needs, spills, or maintenance issues.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and maintain tools in good working order.




- Interact professionally with tenants, visitors, and staff, addressing requests courteously and efficiently.
- Prioritize daily and weekly tasks and determine appropriate cleaning methods as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

- High school diploma or equivalent; janitorial or maintenance training is an asset.
- Previous experience in cleaning or custodial services, preferably in residential or commercial settings.
- Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and proper use of cleaning equipment and products.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and respond calmly to urgent situations.
- Flexibility to assist with special projects, events, or seasonal maintenance tasks.
- Positive interpersonal skills for skilled interaction with tenants, visitors, and staff.
