Enhance family well-being as a Temporary Family Support Counsellor. Deliver vital support services, provide parent training, and manage crisis interventions while collaborating with community resources and professionals. In this role, you will report to the Program Manager and focus on providing comprehensive family support to children and families. Your responsibilities will include assessing needs, establishing goals, and advocating for families while promoting self-advocacy skills. You will also ensure safety in crisis situations and partake in regular case reviews and team meetings. Key Responsibilities:
• Complete program-related assessments and set goals • Advocate and build resource networks for families • Provide parent skills training and family counselling • Intervene in crisis and provide follow-up care • Participate in case reviews and team meetings Requirements: • Degree in Human Sciences, Childcare, or related field • 2-4 years' experience with children and families • Preferred in-home support and case management experience • Valid, non-GDL class 5 driver's license • Personal suitability and effective communication skills Drive meaningful change by delivering high-quality support services to families in need.
