Department
Security & Engagement
Hours
15-25 hours per week - must be available for morning, eveningand weekend shifts as needed.
Reports To
Health & Safety Manager; Head of Security &Engagement; and while on shift, the Security & Engagement Officer.
Position Summary
The Program & Engagement Representative plays a key rolein delivering high-quality experiences for guests, participants, and communitymembers. This position supports the coordination and execution of programs, rental activities, and events to ensure a safe and welcoming environment, and promote positive engagement across the entire facility. The ideal candidate is energetic, service-oriented, safety-conscious, and passionate about community recreation.
Key Responsibilities Event & Program Support
- Assistwith the set-up and takedown of events, programs, and facility spaces(equipment, tables, signage, sport apparatus, etc.).
- Prepareactivity areas to meet program and safety standards.
- Monitorprograms and activities to ensure smooth operation and participantsatisfaction.
- Providelogistical support during tournaments, leagues, camps, classes, andspecial events.
Guest Engagement & Customer Service
- Welcomeand engage guests, participants, and spectators in a friendly andprofessional manner.
- Provideinformation about programs, schedules, policies, and facility amenities.
- Respondto questions,
concerns, and feedback in a timely and respectful manner.
- Fostera positive, inclusive, and community-focused atmosphere.
Safety & Supervision
- Activelymonitor facility spaces to ensure participant safety and adherence topolicies.
- Enforcefacility rules and codes of conduct consistently and professionally.
- Identifyand address potential safety hazards.
- Providefirst aid and emergency response as required, following establishedprocedures.
- Completeincident and accident reports accurately and promptly.
Facility Operations
- Maintaincleanliness and organization of program areas and common spaces.
- Assistwith equipment inventory, storage, and basic maintenance checks.
- Supportstaff and instructors to ensure programming quality and operationalefficiency.
Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in recreation,kinesiology, sport management, or a related field is an asset).
- CurrentIntermediate (Standard) First Aid / Level C CPR certification.
- Previousexperience in recreation, sport, customer service, or event supportpreferred.
- Stronginterpersonal and communication skills.
- Abilityto work evenings, weekends, and flexible schedule.
- Avalid police information check with Vulnerable Sector Search completedwithin two months prior to starting.
- Abilityto lift and move equipment (up to 50lbs) and stand for extended periods.
