We are hiring a recent engineering graduate who is not just technically strong but ready to lead people on the production floor. This is a hands-on leadership role in a unionized manufacturing environment where you will drive daily operations, support continuous improvement projects, and manage frontline teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise production floor employees in a unionized setting
- Ensure daily production targets, safety standards, and quality requirements are met
- Act as the first-line leader for operators, technicians, and support staff
- Manage small to mid-size engineering and process improvement projects
- Identify inefficiencies and implement practical, on-the-floor solutions
- Support troubleshooting of equipment and production issues in real time
- Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and company procedures
- Work closely with maintenance, quality, and planning teams
- Participate in union interactions professionally and consistently within policy guidelines
- Drive accountability, discipline, and performance without damaging labor relations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, chamical ,electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related)
- 0–1 years experience (co-op/internship experience strongly preferred) in a union enviroment
- Exposure to manufacturing or production environments
- Strong leadership mindset – must be comfortable managing people early in career
- Experience or exposure to unionized environments is a solid asset
- Ability to work shifts and be present on the production floor
- Strong problem-solving skills and practical thinking
- Clear communicator who can deal with both operators and management
- Willingness to take ownership and be accountable for results
