In this role, you will supervise development permitting staff and manage intricate applications from inquiry to approval. Your responsibilities include mentoring staff, preparing and presenting reports, and contributing to critical planning projects. Collaborating with various stakeholders, you will facilitate communication among diverse groups to enhance community livability and investment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and mentor development permitting staff
• Lead review of complex development applications
• Prepare reports for Council and public engagements
• Monitor legislation and provide policy recommendations
• Facilitate collaboration with internal and external clients
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in planning or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of professional planning experience
• Qualified Membership with Alberta Professional Planners Institute required
• Proven problem-solving and multitasking skills
• Strong communication and storytelling abilities
