Overview

The position of senior logistics analyst is responsible for sourcing carriers for freight movements and to help provide leadership to the logistics division. This position will report directly to the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities

- Source daily carrier options for freight movements, new business for the Tenold Group of Companies and freight opportunities for company units.
- Manage carrier negotiations and maintain margin expectations while meeting customer requirements for on-time delivery and a quality service.
- Analyze and report on lane rates and benchmark market pricing.
- Negotiate short-term and long-term programs with outside carrier partners.
- Provide market pricing and conditions to the business development team. Work with the business development team on strategic lane development.




- Carrier qualification and performance monitoring by developing and maintaining carrier scorecards.
- Provide leadership to the logistics department and logistical solutions for all customers.
- Drive technological improvements and efficiencies.
- Other duties as required.

Requirements

- 5+ years of freight forwarding/brokering experience
- Knowledge of Canadian and US Hours of Service regulations
- Knowledge of cargo securement regulations and weight and dimension regulations
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Knowledge of Truckmate
- Good computer and telephone skills
- Professional written and verbal communication
