We are seeking a highly seasoned Cognos professional to lead reporting modernization initiatives for a major client project. This is a strategic contract role requiring a deep technical background in legacy Cognos environments and the vision to drive modernization toward high-performance analytics.
Core Responsibilities
- Reporting Modernization: Lead the transition and modernization of legacy reporting suites into contemporary, high-performance business intelligence frameworks.
- SME Guidance: Serve as the primary technical authority for Cognos-related architecture, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Bilingual Delivery: Effectively communicate technical strategies and documentation in both French and English within a bilingual project environment.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee end-to-end report development, data modeling, and performance tuning to meet complex business requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Seniority: 10 to 20+ years of dedicated experience in the IBM Cognos ecosystem (including Framework Manager, Report Studio, and Cognos Analytics).
- Language: Professional-level fluency in French and English is mandatory.
- Modernization Background: Proven track record of migrating or upgrading reporting systems to enhance performance and scalability.
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)
- Hybrid BI Skills: Hands-on experience with Power BI for cross-platform visualization and integration.
- Industry Context: Previous experience within the Banking or Financial Services sector, particularly with regulatory and compliance reporting standards.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Disclosure
