More about the role

This is an exciting job opportunity for you as a Development & Support Engineer in Calgary with Cooper Lighting Solutions, a business unit of Signify, the world leader in lighting.

- Own post–commercial‑release product support, including 3rd‑line manufacturing support, BOM/TPD maintenance, product changes, alternate component releases, and re‑approbation activities.
- Manage product configuration and engineering updates, including re‑engineering, customization, lifecycle change control in PLM, and accurate processing to SAP/ERP.
- Drive product and process optimization through root‑cause analysis, quality improvements, cost‑downs, digitization initiatives, and evaluation of new manufacturing technologies.
- Lead Engineering‑to‑Order (ETO) activities, including design, technical documentation, prototype builds, testing, and cross‑functional collaboration with Quality, Assembly, and Manufacturing teams.
- Provide technical expertise across installation/luminaire applications, connected systems, regulatory compliance, staff training,



and ensuring adherence to safety and approval standards.

More about you

While we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening:

- Associate degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related technical field, offering strong grounding in product design, manufacturing processes, and core engineering principles; bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1+ years of product engineering experience in a manufacturing workplace, with exposure to BOM management, technical documentation, and product lifecycle or process improvement support.
- Proficiency in computer‑aided drafting (CAD), SolidWorks preferred, with the ability to create detailed drawings, brackets, and other mechanical design elements.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills to support design tasks and troubleshoot technical challenges effectively.

Salary: CAD 63,075 - CAD 93,351

Bonus: target bonus opportunity - 5%
