What we are looking for:

- Entering financial data into accounting software (QuickBooks Contractor Edition and maintaining organized records for audits
- Being able to have multiple ongoing projects and allocating for job costing analysis.
- Monthly Progress Billings including analyzing Statement of Values and ongoing Holdback analysis
- Familiar with working with WCB and pulling Clearance Certificates.
- Assisting with year end schedules.
- Assisting with GST Audits.
- Accurate and timely monthly and year end closing
- Payroll and source deduction filing
- Account reconciliations
- Various monthly financial reporting analysis




- Manage monthly or quarterly GST filings and ensure compliance with federal and provincial commodity tax requirements for various corporate entities
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Assist with year-end working papers and year end closing

Necessary for employment:

- Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a role within the construction industry.
- Education: Post Secondary certificate of Diploma in accounting/business would be considered an asset.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (preferably within Construction).
- Proficiency in MS Office Products: Excel, Word and Outlook
- Superior attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion are crucial.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines and multiple tasks
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Committed to both internal and external client satisfaction
- Knowledge: A solid understanding of relevant Canadian payroll legislation, tax regulations (including GST) and internal controls is necessary for compliance.
