LOCUM PRACTICE NURSE BAND 5 PETERBOROUGH FULL TIME

Dream Medical is working with a fast-paced RAF base in Peterborough and requires a Band 5 practice nurse for a full time locum placement. The role is within the Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) organization, delivering Primary Health Care (PHC) services and elements of Occupational Health to entitled Defence Medical Services (DMS) personnel. You will report to the Senior Medical Officer and/or Lead/ Senior Nurse and provide routine clinics to meet the need of the Population at Risk (PAR). The role involves development of programmes of care/service delivery within your scope of practice.

Responsibilities

- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing routine clinics.
- Deliver Primary Health Care services and Occupational Health elements.
- Develop programmes of care/service delivery within scope of practice.

Qualifications





- Registered Nurse with NMC registration and PIN with no restrictions to practice.
- A minimum of one year's post‑registration current experience (within the last 3 years) in a Band 5 or higher grade in Primary Healthcare (PHC) setting.
- Locums must hold an accredited certificate of training obtained in the last 3 years in:
- Immunisation and vaccination (including children if a families practice).
- Venepuncture.
- Ear Care (including irrigation).
- Minor injuries and illnesses.

- Desirable: Competent in the use of Patient Group Directives (PGDs) in a PHC setting.
- Desirable: Previous Ministry of Defence (MOD) experience.
