Position Overview

Richelieu Hardware is seeking a Product Specialist for the Southern Alberta territory. The role reports to the Southern Alberta Sales Manager and Western Region General Manager, and is responsible for driving sales performance, expanding the product offering, and supporting clients and internal teams across the territory.

Responsibilities

- Prospect and acquire current clients while maintaining and developing existing accounts
- Identify, evaluate, and integrate new vendors and products into the portfolio
- Represent Richelieu at client meetings, trade shows, and industry events
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including sales, distribution, and operations
- Develop a strong understanding of product lines, vendors, and inventory
- Build and maintain technical expertise related to panel products and applications
- Contribute to the development of a competitive and relevant product offering
- Support sales representatives through joint customer visits across the territory
- Monitor market trends and identify business opportunities

Requirements

- High school diploma or college degree in sales, business,



or procurement management
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in sales or business development
- Experience in the wood, panel, or related distribution industry is a strong asset
- Proven ability to drive sales growth and develop new business opportunities
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand product specifications and applications
- Proficiency with SalesForce and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Availability for frequent travel within Southern Alberta and occasional out-of-province travel
