The Data Recording Software Engineer is responsible for planning, configuring, and executing data acquisition software to support development, validation, and troubleshooting of advanced automotive systems such as ADAS and AV features.
Work Arrangement
This role is categorized as hybrid: the successful candidate is expected to report to the Markham Elevation Centre at least three times per week.
Required Qualifications
- Embedded software development experience – Writing, debugging and unit testing code in C/C++
- Working knowledge of Python
- Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins)
- Valuable oral and written communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols (e.g., CAN, ODB2, Ethernet)
- Experience with CppUTest framework
- Experience with MIL/SIL/HIL testing
- Knowledge of automotive embedded data recording systems
- Experience in an Agile scrum team
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $115,000 to $164,600.
The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
