Role Overview
To be successful in this role you are an Inside Sales Superstar comfortable with a high volume customer requests: able to process RFQs > Quotes > Sales Orders with lightning speed and accuracy. Focussed on the customer you have exceptional phone skills which you use to win over our clients with empathy, building solid relationships as you move from order to order. You instinctively know when to pull information from the customer and when to sit back and listen.
The Inside Sales Specialist is a high-impact role responsible for converting active quote value into revenue. Backed by industry-leading engineering and high market demand, you won’t be chasing cold leads—you will be managing a robust pipeline. We need a strategic closer who can navigate complex deals, influence decision‑makers, and take full ownership of the sales cycle from interest to invoice.
This role blends category expertise, solution selling, and strategic account management. Working as part of a team you will be one of the primary drivers of our sales performance, working closely with engineering, marketing, and key accounts to accelerate growth across North America.
Being an expert in finding shortcuts and efficiencies to improve business processes and software tools you are not afraid to question the status quo and ask, “Can we do this better?” And finally, you are a time management guru who can multitask switching seamlessly between different customers and projects without getting stressed remaining a calm focussed professional in the midst of a whirlwind of activity.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement and Account Management
- Act as the primary contact for all designated category enquiries inquiries across North America.
- Deliver timely, accurate, and professional responses that help customers make confident decisions.
- Engage warm inbound leads with tailored, consultative communication and a focus on customer outcomes.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of accounts through consistent follow‑up, proactive outreach, and attention to detail.
- Build long‑term relationships with all customers: architects, contractors,
designers, municipalities, and end users.
Quoting and Sales Execution
- Assess incoming designated category inquiries for scale, complexity, and strategic importance.
- Prepare quotes for opportunities, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and competitive positioning.
- For opportunities with longer sales cycles decide whether to quote directly or delegate to the Bidding rep or to the Volume Agent for fast‑turn responses.
- Interpret spec sheets, technical drawings, installation notes, and material requirements to support accurate quoting.
- Track and report on opportunities, conversion rates, and pipeline health for the decorative category.
- Grow and develop the category.
Order Processing and Follow‑Through
- Process sales orders in NetSuite from initial inquiry to order fulfillment.
- Coordinate internally to ensure product availability, lead times, shipping requirements, and fulfillment expectations are met.
- Handle escalations such as lost shipments or project‑specific clarifications with professionalism.
- Follow the Leads as assigned/highlighted by the Lead Gen team / Marketing.
- Perform the Follow‑ups, Follow‑through and all associated activity per the Structure that Is assigned.
Customer Advocacy and Product Insights
- Gather customer feedback, identify recurring pain points, and propose practical solutions.
- Work closely with all departments to ensure decorative offerings continue to meet market needs.
- Monitor competitive trends within the decorative category and share insights with relevant teams.
Collaboration and Cross‑Functional Support
- Work closely with the Sales team, Marketing, Operations, and Product to ensure a uniform customer experience.
- Partner with the Volume Agent to maintain smooth handoffs and ensure clarity around smaller opportunities.
- Assist colleagues as needed during high‑volume periods or major product launches.
General Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, quotations, and orders.
- Work toward monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets for the decorative category.
- Stay up to date on product specifications, materials, finishes, installation methods,
and optional accessories.
- Adapt to evolving responsibilities and support current initiatives as the Sales organization grows.
What you Bring
- 1–5 years of experience in sales, customer engagement, inside sales, or a related commercial role.
- Some exposure to construction, architecture, engineering, industrial products, or B2B environments is an asset but not required.
- Comfortable speaking with new people and initiating conversations; prior cold or warm calling experience is helpful but not mandatory.
- Coachable, curious, and motivated to build sales skills and category expertise over time.
- Positive, steady, and self‑motivated—able to handle repetition without losing energy or professionalism.
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude—comfortable discussing product specifications, standards, functionality and installation requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
- High sense of ownership, resilience, and a drive to win.
- Experience using CRM tools and disciplined pipeline management.
- Consistent high energy and positive attitude.

Job Types: Full‑time, Permanent
Location: Surrey, BC (Hybrid)
Pay: $60,000‑$70,000.00 per year (plus commission)
