Position Type: Fixed term / part time / consulting opportunity
Purpose of the Job
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering mainly technology-related and automation projects within scope, budget, and timelines, whilst working with and coordinating between multiple parties in each project. The focus would be mainly on automation and digitisation in payroll and staffing, finance, fundraising, web and application development, but is not limited to these areas. The successful incumbent will play a key role in advancing the reporting discipline and quality and leveraging data for optimal outcomes.
Role and Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and deliver mainly IT and digital transformation projects from initiation to completion.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resources across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ensure effective communication between technical teams, leadership, and end users.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate and execute testing phases to ensure solution quality and stability.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including plans, risk registers, and status reports.
- Design and implement data collection, reporting,
and analytics processes to measure both project and broader organisational performance.
- Design and implement processes around data-driven reporting projects for operational use and dashboards.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
- Relevant qualification in IT project Management or general project management
- 5+ years of experience in IT / digital project management.
- Understanding of IT systems and software development lifecycles
- Experience with project management tools
- Knowledge of data analytics tools (Power BI, SQL) and experience in working with data – advantageous.
- Ability to design and execute testing strategies across system and user environments.
- Familiarity with information security best practices and compliance (POPIA)
- Proven success in managing cross-functional teams.
