Job Title: Service Technician
Job Type: Full-time Permanent
Location: 1725 St. James St, Unit 3, Winnipeg, MB R3H 1H3
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Salary Range: $27 - $29/hr
OBJECTIVE
As a Service Technician, you will provide repair and maintenance services to our clients’ valued customers. This position requires a strong aptitude for problem-solving, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to learn quickly and be well organized, and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in challenging and rapidly changing work settings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot various equipment or systems.
- Install new equipment or systems according to specifications and guidelines provided by the manufacturer or client. This may involve assembling components, connecting wiring, and configuring settings.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of equipment. This may include cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, and replacing worn-out parts.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues or areas that require attention; including company-provided tools and equipment to perform tasks.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or breakdowns. Identify the root cause of the problem and implement appropriate repairs or replacements. This may involve testing equipment using diagnostic tools and consulting technical manuals or documentation.
- Interact with customers professionally and courteously. Respond to service requests, answer questions, and provide guidance on equipment usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues effectively and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including repairs performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
- Generate service reports, work orders, and other relevant documentation. Communicate findings, and recommendations, and update supervisors, colleagues, or clients as required.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while working with equipment or systems. Follow industry standards and regulations and ensure quality, environmental, and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, secure, and organized work area by company standards to ensure a productive and secure work environment.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements, technologies, and industry trends related to the equipment or systems you work with.
- Participate in training programs, workshops, or certifications to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Perform other duties as required, which may include Warehouse, Deliveries DOP and FIT Testing
QUALIFICATIONS
- A high school diploma or equivalent education, and Electrical and/or General Automotive experience
- 2 years of previous work experience in a Service Technician role
- Forklift certification (or capable of certification)
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge in the abatement, restoration, construction, or general safety & cleaning industries would be an asset
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills
- Efficient problem-solving skills
- Ability to use or learn various basic software.
- Attention to detail.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment
- Stand on your feet for long periods
- Walking, bending, reaching, stretching, climbing ladders
- Working in confined spaces
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.

Pay: $56,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
