Floor Manager – Erin Mills Pet Hospital

Work Location: 2400 Dunwin Drive, Mississauga, ON

Erin Mills Pet Hospital is seeking a hands-on, highly organized Floor Manager to oversee daily operations, support the team, and drive performance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can step into any role on the floor, and is ready to take ownership of both team development and business growth!

You will lead day-to-day hospital operations, ensuring smooth workflow, high standards of care, and an excellent client experience. You will work closely with the Medical Director/Practice Owner (Dr. Starink) where you will act as the operational lead, while supporting and developing the team.

Key Responsibilities

Operations

- Oversee daily hospital flow across all departments
- Step into roles as needed (reception, exam rooms, treatment)
- Troubleshoot issues, ensure operational standards and maintain efficiency
- Manage scheduling and workflow to meet operational needs

Team Leadership

- Manage team performance, accountability, annual reviews, disciplinary processes and all HR functions
- Support career development and growth planning
- Provide real-time coaching and support

Business Growth

- Manage and execute financial budgets and targets provided by the Practice Owner
- Implement initiatives to improve client experience, efficiency and revenue

Training & Development





You will receive full Practice Management training through VetCircle, with hands-on support from Amy, VetCircle’s (www.vetcircle.ca) COO, to develop into a high-performing hospital leader.

What We’re Looking For

- Strong leadership and training abilities, with a “lead by example” approach
- Ability to confidently step into any role on the floor
- Experience managing performance and team accountability
- Organized, adaptable, and calm under pressure
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Veterinary experience required

Compensation & Schedule

- Full-time, permanent position
- Starting at $55,000/year, with higher compensation based on experience
- 40 hours per week, 5 days in-clinic
- Extended health and dental benefits (100% of premiums covered)
