This is a unique opportunity for a position in a small, three lawyer firm practicing in Napanee, Ontario. We also provide services in the areas of Kingston, Picton and Belleville and have a satellite branch office in Kaladar. A successful candidate will need to reside in this area and work is required in-person at our Napanee office. This position will include clerking in the area of criminal law.

This position is primarily as a criminal law clerk. The position involves interaction with clients, drafting the necessary documents and correspondence in accordance with the assigned lawyers instructions. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday in our Napanee, Ontario office. An ideal candidate should have a Law Clerk/Paralegal diploma and the following:
-Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
- Proficiency in using legal software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting legal documents, conducting interviews,



and communicating with clients and colleagues
- Attention to detail for proofreading legal documents and ensuring accuracy
- Ability to conduct legal research using various resources to support case preparation
- Solid clerical skills for file management, data entry, and maintaining organized records
- Familiarity with legal drafting techniques and terminology
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
