Position Overview

nWe are seeking a motivated Department Lead for our new Edmonton location to support the leadership and daily operations of a designated department within our retail store. In this role, you will oversee department performance, guide and coach team members, and ensure an excellent customer experience.n

The Department Lead works closely with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager to drive sales, maintain operational standards, and support team development.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Lead and support the department team to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service
- Supervise day-to-day department operations, including merchandising, inventory control, and stock organization
- Monitor department performance, including sales metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), and take action to improve results
- Coach, train, and motivate Sales Associates to enhance product knowledge, customer engagement, and overall performance
- Ensure the department is well-maintained, organized, and aligned with company merchandising standards and planograms
- Support hiring and onboarding of new team members, including training on company procedures and service expectations
- Address and resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and safety standards
- Monitor inventory accuracy and conduct regular stock checks to minimize discrepancies
- Identify and support loss prevention and store security practices




- Assist with store-wide operations and provide support on the sales floor as needed
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements

n

- 2–3 years of retail sales experience, preferably in electronics or a related industry
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is an asset
- Strong communication, leadership, and coaching skills
- Proven ability to meet sales targets and support operational goals
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced workplace and manage multiple priorities
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail systems (POS/ERP experience is an asset)
- Adaptable availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring standing, bending, or climbing
