nNSCA is currently seeking a Patient Navigator in Sept-Îles. This role focuses on supporting English-speaking residents in accessing and navigating health and social services.n
Key Responsibilities
n· Provide information and guidance to English-speaking residents about health and social services in the Sept-Îles regionn
· Support individuals in navigating the healthcare system and preparing for appointments
n
· Connect clients with community resources, social services, and partner organizations
n
· Assist with communication when language barriers arise
n
· Offer supportive listening and guidance during healthcare situations
n
· Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers and community partners
n
· Participate in outreach activities, community events, and information sessions
n
· Maintain accurate records, referrals, and documentation
n
· Contribute to reporting and program support as needed
n
Qualifications
n· Education in social services, healthcare, community development, or a related field (DEC or higher)n
· Knowledge or interest in the Québec health and social services system
n
· Robust communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
n
· Ability to work independently and collaborate with partners
n
· Empathy, discretion, and strong listening skills
n
· Problem-solving skills and adaptability in complex situations
n
· Bilingual (English & French – spoken and written)
n
· Knowledge of the Sept-Îles region is an asset
n
· Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
n
Job Type: Part time
n
Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
