Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is vital in ensuring smooth clinic operations, providing excellent patient care, and supporting medical staff with administrative and clinical tasks. The ideal candidate will have a background in medical office or clinical settings, with experience in IM injections and medical terminology. Duties
- Greet patients and assist with check-in/check-out processes efficiently and courteously
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records with accuracy and confidentiality
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and documenting relevant information
- Perform Intramuscular injections/vaccinations in infants and adults following all safety protocols
- Assist with laboratory tasks such as specimen collection, processing, and documentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and laboratory areas
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and infection control standards
- Support medical staff by managing supplies, equipment,
and documentation as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience in a medical office or clinical setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, IM injections and laboratory procedures is essential
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Certification and training in IM (Intramuscular) injections/vaccines is essential
- Ability to adapt quickly to new procedures and technologies within the healthcare setting
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
