Hugos Mexcican Kitchen is seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team at our new kamloops location opening this August! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong food handling skills, a keen attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety and hygiene standards. Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food service.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and delivery.




- Help with inventory management by tracking stock levels and notifying management of shortages.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning duties and equipment maintenance.

Experience

- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques in meal preparation.
