Job Description The Assistant Curator will support the research, development, and delivery of a temporary exhibit focused on environmental themes. This position offers experience in curatorial research, exhibit writing and design, digital communications, and public engagement. No previous museum experience is required, and duties include support for exhibit openings, social media content, and front desk coverage as needed.

Key Responsibilities
n-Assist with research and development of a temporary exhibit.n
-Conduct research using museum collections, archives, and external sources
n
-Draft exhibit text, captions, and labels using clear, engaging, plain language
n
-Support exhibit layout planning with attention to accessibility and visitor engagement
n
-Assist with exhibit installation and preparation of materials
n
-Help organize and support the exhibit opening event
n
-Prepare general historic social media posts on a bi-weekly basis
n
-Assist with front desk coverage, opening and closing procedures, and visitor services as required
n
Qualifications
n-Eligibility for Young Canada Works in Heritage Organizations (Must be a full-time student under 30 years of age at the start of employment, and returning to studies in the fall)n
-Current student majoring history, museum studies, heritage, communications, or a related field
n
-Solid research, writing, and communication skills
n
