About the Prospect

nWe are looking for a temporary Core Logging Geologist to join our exploration team and support exploration drilling projects across BC.n

In this role, you will support core processing tasks in collaboration with Geotechnicians and Project Managers on site.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Geological logging and sampling
- Supervising drill activities, including drill setup and shutdown, progress tracking, and ensuring adherence to safety standards
- Occasionally oversee Geotechnicians, ensuring their effective contribution to project objectives
- Participating in daily toolbox safety meetings
- Completing additional tasks as assigned by supervising Project and Senior Geologists

nThis is a travel-in-travel-out position based at a semi-remote to remote exploration sites,



operating on a rotational schedule of approximately 15 days on and 13 days off. Camp accommodations and meals are provided while on site. All travel to and from the site is arranged and paid for by Vizsla Copper Corp. To ensure efficient travel logistics we are primarily seeking candidates who reside in western Canada near major transportation centers, but all suitable candidates will be considered.n

Position Requirements

- Minimum BSc in Geology, Geoscience, or related fields
- 1+ years of experience logging diamond drill core, preferably porphyry-related
- Registered or ability to register with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC) as a Member-in-Training (GIT) or Professional Geologist (P.Geo)
- Authorized to work in Canada
- Valid BC Class 5 (or equivalent) driver’s license
- Basic First Aid and CPR level C certified (preferred)

nCompensation The position will be compensated at a daily rate ranging from $450 to $550 according to experience and based on a 10 hour work day. In accordance with the BC Labour Code, as this position is involved in the collection and processing of geologic samples, overtime rates do not apply.n
