Ri-Go Lift Truck Ltd. is seeking a skilled and reliable Road Service Mechanic to perform on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy-duty and material handling equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and other electrical, propane, or diesel-powered machinery, in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. This position reports to the Road Service Manager, or the designate.

Job Duties:

n· Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on forklifts, scissor lifts, and related material handling equipment.n

· Inspect and test equipment systems, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical components, to identify faults and malfunctions.

n

· Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts or systems using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.

n

· Overhaul hoisting mechanisms and other mechanical assemblies as required.

n

· Perform annual safety inspections and lifting device inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

n

· Service and repair industrial batteries, including testing and charging

n

· Review and interpret work orders, service manuals, and technical specifications.

n

· Advise customers regarding the nature of the work performed, any necessary repairs, and the overall condition of the equipment.

n

· Complete maintenance reports, service records, and other required documentation accurately and promptly.

n

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company and regulatory safety standards.

n

· Travel to customer sites with a fully equipped service vehicle to provide timely and effective service.

Essential Qualifications:





n· Secondary Diploman

· 3+ year of work experience in mechanical repair of forklifts

n

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

n

· Robust electrical knowledge complimented with great mechanical abilities

n

Essential Skills:

n· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.n

· Ability to work independently in varied environments and weather conditions

n

Summary

n· Job Title: Road Service Mechanicn

· Term of employment: permanent, full-time hourly position

· Schedule: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Friday

n

· Work a minimum of 42.5 hours per week.

· Overtime: There may be occasions where you may need to work outside of these times

· Salary: range $36-44 per hour
