Toronto Tutors Wanted ($25–$35/hr) – Arabic & Somali Speakers Preferred

About the Role
Mobile Tutors is seeking Toronto-based tutors to support Grades 7–12 students across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). This role focuses on delivering culturally responsive, language-aligned tutoring, helping students build confidence, improve academic performance, and achieve long-term success.

We are especially looking for Arabic- and Somali-speaking tutors who can connect with students through shared language and cultural understanding.

Subjects:

- Math
- Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
- English
- Social Studies
- Canadian History
- Canadian Geography

Tutoring Locations:

- Student homes across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)
- Partner schools in North York and Etobicoke
- Online sessions (flexible)

Qualifications:





- Arabic and/or Somali language skills strongly preferred
- University students (2nd year+), graduates, or certified teachers
- Robust subject knowledge and communication skills
- Reliable, patient, and professional
- Ability to travel for in-person tutoring
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is an asset

Responsibilities:

- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions in assigned subjects
- Support students in building academic skills and confidence
- Track student progress and session notes
- Communicate with parents and the Mobile Tutors team as needed
