Role Description

n

This is a full time, in office role based in Ottawa, ON, for an Intermediate or Senior Construction Estimator.

The Construction

n

Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for residential renovations, analyzing project requirements, and sourcing materials and labor costs. Tasks include collaborating with design and production teams, reviewing blueprints and drawings, and preparing estimates and scope of work packages.



The role also involves working with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.

Qualifications

n
Proficiency in construction estimating, project costing, and budget management
Experience in reading and analyzing blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
Robust organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills
Familiarity with residential renovation processes and industry best practices
Solid communication and collaboration abilities with design, construction teams, and stakeholders
Knowledge of construction software tools and estimating technologies is an asset. Experience with Buildertrend software is an asset
Diploma or degree in Architecture, Engineering, or equivalent field experience preferred
Previous experience in construction estimating or project management is highly desirable
