On this page About the position Duties The position holder oversees the activities of the supervisors reporting to them, as well as those of the technical and support staff, in order to ensure the effective, efficient, and timely delivery of facility management services, including preventive and corrective maintenance, in a large institution or in several grouped institutions, in accordance with the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Work environment The Technical Services of institutions in the Quebec region at the Correctional Service of Canada is a stimulating and dynamic environment and his mission is to ensure the operation, compliance and sustainability of the prison complex.
The facilities we manage are diverse such as buildings and structures, electrical and mechanical systems, infrastructures, generators, oil tanks, thermal power stations, water treatment and purification plants to name only those.
Significant messages Chief Facility Maintenance of our various sites are assigned as follows: Donnacona (Responsible for Donnacona Institution, Port-Cartier Institution, and the Marcel-Caron Community Correctional Centre (CCC) in Qubec City).
Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines (Responsible for the Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines complex).
Laval (Responsible for the Federal Training Centre, the Federal Training Centre Minimum, the Montral Community Correctional Centre (CCC), and the St-Jrme Community Correctional Centre (CCC)).
La Macaza (Responsible for La Macaza and Joliette Institution).

Valid driver''s license for passenger vehicle, equivalent to class 5 - Automobile in the province of Quebec (SAAQ).

Applied / assessed at a later date EXPERIENCES Approximately five (5) years of experience in the labour market in one or more fields related to the duties of the position.
Significant experience over a period of two (2) years in managing the delivery of maintenance services for infrastructure or equipment for a large facility. * *Large facility is defined as a building and grounds which are similar in size to a correctional institution, hospital, airport, shopping mall, college campus or large company.
Experience**in managing human***and financial***resources for approximately one (1)
year within the last seven (7) years.** Human resources management means that candidates have managed human resources such as, assigning work, managing performance, developing resourcing plans, determining needs and approving training, etc.*** Financial resources management means that candidates have assumed tasks related to budget management.
Examples of possible tasks in financial management include managing a budget and/or planning financial needs, preparing expenditure forecasts, verifying expenditures, etc. ABILITIES Ability to plan and manage the delivery of infrastructure maintenance services.
