Sharp Trucking Services / Contrans Tank Group is looking for a motivated Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic (Tractor/Trailer) to join our Edmonton team.

What You’ll Do

As an Journeyman Mechanic, you’ll work to ensure our trucks and trailers are safe, reliable, and road ready.

Your responsibilities will include:
Maintaining equipment to the highest standards to ensure optimal performance and uptime
Inspecting and testing engines, transmissions, axles, brake systems, and other components to diagnose faults
Repairing and replacing parts on commercial transport truck systems including:
Chassis, frame, cab, body
Engine and drivetrain
Air brakes, steering, fuel, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems
Servicing truck-trailer and trailer systems including structural, brake,



and electrical systems
Following all quality, health, safety, and environmental policies
Keeping the shop clean, organized, and effective
Assist with mobile tank cleaning division
Other duties as assigned

What You Bring

Passionate about mechanical work and eager to learn
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable in a physically demanding, fast-paced setting
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Capable of accurately documenting inspections, failures, and repairs
A transparent communicator who works well with all levels of the organization
Knowledgeable of relevant legislation and safety standards
In possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
