Overview
We are seeking a friendly and effective Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions accurately. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a quick-paced environment. A passion for customer service and a positive attitude are essential as you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
Process transactions accurately using the cash register
Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision
Maintain an organised checkout area and ensure it is stocked with necessary supplies
Upsell products and services to enhance customer experience
Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly
Assist in merchandising activities to promote products effectively




Ensure compliance with company policies regarding cash handling and security

Skills
Solid communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities (especially Spanish) are advantageous
Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing
Excellent time management skills to handle peak periods efficiently
Organisational skills to maintain an orderly workspace
Proficient phone etiquette for customer interactions over the phone
Experience in upselling techniques to maximise sales opportunities
