Position Summary
The IT Administrator is responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization’s IT systems and network infrastructure. This role ensures reliable performance of hardware, software, and network systems across administration, retail, production, and hospitality departments.
This is a hands-on role requiring both user support and system administration responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain company IT infrastructure (workstations, network, servers)
- Manage Microsoft 365 environment (user accounts, permissions, security settings)
- Administer the IT help desk ticketing system and provide first-level technical support to employees
- Monitor system and network performance
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software
- Perform system backups and support disaster recovery processes
- Support retail POS and operational systems
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity practices (updates, antivirus, access controls)
- Maintain IT documentation and asset inventory
- Coordinate with third-party IT vendors and service providers
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in IT support or system administration
- Working knowledge of:
- Windows Server & desktop environments
- Microsoft 365 administration
- LAN/WAN networking
- Basic cybersecurity principles
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.) are an asset
