We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team in Elmsdale, Nova Scotia. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive wage and comprehensive benefits package.Duties & Responsibilities:

- Perform automotive repairs and maintenance primarily at our Elmsdale shop.
- Assist with inspections and participate in our preventative maintenance program.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Utilize computer-based maintenance and work order programs.
- Ensure high standards of organization, attention to detail, and commitment to health and safety.

Experience & Qualifications:

- Preferred Experience:
- Red Seal Automotive Mechanic
- Familiarity with hydraulic, electrical, and pressure systems.
- Experience with truck-mounted hydraulic utility equipment (e.g., aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes) is an asset.
- Education:
- AEC/DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate in mechanics, electronics, electrical, or hydraulic systems (preferred).




- Canadian Utility Fleet Council (CUFC) Certification is a plus (increases wage scale).
- Licence:
- Class 3 Driver’s License (preferred).
- Skills & Attributes:
- Proven track record in a similar industry.
- Strong commitment to quality, customer service, and satisfaction.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Schedule:

- 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts (day shifts).
- Monday to Friday, with potential for weekends, holidays, overtime, or on-call as needed.
