Position: Unlicensed Maintenance Millwright

Rate: Competitive Wages

Location: 10828 Hurontario Street, Brampton (Peel Manufacturing Location)

Job Type: Full-time

Shift: Various Shift - Rotation through Days, Nights, Weekends

*Applicant must be flexible in regards to shifts, overtime and able to respond to changing demands with a short notice

Experience Required:

- Applicant preferred to have at least 5 years of maintenance related work experience

- Experience with preventative maintenance practices is desired

- Knowledge/experience with conveyors, drives, motors, electrical/hydraulics, PLC's is an asset

- Some forklift experience is an asset

Education/Designation/License Required:

- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent

- A valid Ontario Drivers License (Glass G) and 24/7 access to a vehicle is a minimum requirement

- In process of obtaining millwright license

Responsibilities of the Job:

- The maintenance worker is responsible for the safe and proper preventative and urgent maintenance of production related equipment throughout the concrete manufacturing facility. This position reports directly to the Plant Supervisors and Manager.

Primary functions and duties of this position are listed below:

- Participate in all safety initiatives and practices

- Read electrical/mechanical drawings/schematics and troubleshoot

- Perform the preventative maintenance for all process and production equipment

- Troubleshoot and repair process and production equipment

- Fabricate and weld to repair, modify or improve process and production equipment

- Utilize the company EAM system to manage parts,



work orders and PM's

- Participate in housekeeping functions to promote a protected, clean and effective work environment

- Utilize safe lifting and rigging skills

- Participate in general plant functions and assist with equipment set-up

- Safely operate forklift during the completion of maintenance tasks

- Assist in the scheduling and organizing of the annual plant shut-down period

- Carry out other duties as assigned

In addition to the above primary functions, the Maintenance Worker must complete individual and team objectives focused on continuous improvement of product/processes at the Peel manufacturing location.

- Able to meet critical deadlines

- Able to schedule work order for timely completion of tasks

- Able to work independently as well as in a team setting

- Diligent completion of maintenance work

- Detail oriented with a strategy of preventative maintenance compared to reactive

- Excellent organizational skills

- Literacy in Microsoft Office Suite
